What to do after an accident. Discuss this with your kids and employees!

1. Stop, put on parking brake, do not turn off lights or turn signal, this could be important later on.

2. Take pictures of all vehicles involved. Note the time of day, how fast you were going, what the driving conditions were at the time of the incident. And any other details that could be important.

3. Keep calm and don’t accuse or take blame, just get facts at this point.

4. Get a police report.

5. If there were witnesses, get their contact information.

6. Note the address or intersection where it happened.

7. If there is ANY chance you or someone in your car were injured, seek medical attention immediately.

8. Call your insurance carrier and make your report if you were at fault. Get the other drivers information; • Name • Address • Phone • Take a picture of their insurance card, and ask for the company name, as well as their agents name • Take a picture of their car and license plate
